Flicks fills the screen with
family-friendly, fishy and dramatic adaptations
TORONTO, June 9, 2005 – The popular Free Flicks outdoor film programme, presented by Stella Artois, returns this year to Harbourfront Centre bound by the theme of adaptations: films that take their cues from the page straight to the screen on the CIBC Stage! Hosted by Maxine Bailey, Free Flicks runs every Wednesday evening beginning June 29 through to August 10. Warm, family-friendly films begin this year’s seasonal offerings: Babe, The Princess Bride and The Wizard of Oz. Two fish tales follow, Big Fish and the original ‘blockbuster’ Jaws, originally released 30 years ago this summer.
